As our name suggests, we are a cooperative in that we work together with common values and towards common goals. Folks of every gender, race, orientation, origin, and faith are welcome. (More about us here)

Our space is ideal for writers, artists, designers, educators and organizers. Located in Yosemite Place in the Bayview district of San Francisco, the 771-square foot space features 20-foot ceilings and large windows overlooking the bay. It is equipped with letterpress, foil stamping and bookbinding equipment, a large communal table, and a multi-use open area with white walls.

Membership includes:

  • 24/7 studio access, including to equipment, common materials and storage

  • free admission to all Open Windows events

  • ability to host workshops, art shows, readings, screenings, organizing meetings, book clubs, etc.

Dues are $350/month or $200/month plus 5 hours/week of work exchange. Members participate in planning meetings and have a voice in studio-related decisions. Work exchange opportunities include open studio shifts, cleaning/organizing type, studio deep cleaning, programming support and more possibilities as we continue to grow.
